Renovation & Additions in Bend, OR
Renovating a house you already love is harder than building new — the existing structure votes on everything. Kalen Development brings more than twenty years of building across Washington and Oregon — over 100 homes — to renovations and additions. Lakewood House in Bend is the one to look at for our Central Oregon work.

Working With What’s There
We open up, verify what the house is actually made of, and design the addition around reality — so the new work reads as if it was always there.
Living Through It
A renovation happens in your life, not just your house. We keep the site tight, the schedule honest, and the communication direct — one team from the first day of demolition to the final walkthrough.
The First Conversation
Scope, budget, and what the house will allow — talked through plainly.
Design & Feasibility
We work with your architect and designer from the first sketch, so the design survives contact with the budget.
Opening Up
We verify what the house is actually made of before new work begins.
Construction
One team from demolition to finish, with the site kept tight.
Final Walkthrough
We walk the finished work with you before we call it done.
Additions That Belong
An addition succeeds when a visitor cannot tell where the original house ends and the new work begins.
